About Elsje![]() Since the age of 12, I started to follow yoga classes. As I was the only child in a group of adults, I quite after a while, but my interest for Eastern knowledge and Technics was awakened. Yoga, as a way of living, remained a constant in my life. A way of going through all challenges, normal to life and to find my inner power.
As a child I also came to know about macrobiotic food. It drawed my attention because it was different then the normal western food style and also this remained a constant in my life. On the age of 31, I started studying with Tom Monte and many other famous teachers about a healthy life and healthy food. Yoga and the influence of food on ones mind has to be seen as one according to me. Since more than 15 years I studied different forms of yoga and healing methods in combination with a macrobiotic and ayurvedic lifestyle. At the soma yoga academy under the guidance of Alberto Paganini, I received the teacher certificate after 4 years. At the soma yoga academy under the guidance of Alberto Paganini, I received the teacher certificate after 4 years. I got more and more depth in yoga through different courses in Belgium and all over the world. I also have a teacher training certificate with David Swenson, first level ashtanga yoga, Shiva Rea (vinyasa flow) 500 hours, Manju Jois (ashtanga first and second level)) Seane Corn, Marc Whitwell, Dharma Mitra, Dru yoga, Sivananda teacher course... I followed the Tom Monte program for healers : traditional Asian and Intuitive diagnosis, healing the body with diet Nutrition and the energetics of Food, healing the heart and relationships + counseling for a better life. In every part of the yoga styles and healers trainings I followed, I found a piece of myself back. Sometimes the body requires very soft yoga as dru yoga or yin yoga, some other days are sparkling from the energy and is vinyasa flow or ashtanga a must. But even on the more darker days, I know as soon as I can get on my mat, whatever form of yoga can heal me and bring me closer to myself in combination with a healthy food style. Contact: Elsje |
